Maggie Cruz Home was created because of Maggie’s passion for furniture design, and as the perfect compliment to her growing interior design consultancy business, which she opened in 2007.
From hip, urban high rises, to traditional estates & relaxing weekend retreats; Maggie and her projects are highlighted in leading media outlets and publications, such as HGTV Magazine, Traditional Home, Trad Home, LUXE Interiors + Design and many others.
Many of these spreads include breathtaking projects in exclusive South Florida neighborhoods such as Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, and the Florida Keys, where she has a prominent following by families and professionals alike, looking for a luxury residence that delivers on both sophistication, and functionality. Maggie’s commissioned projects have also taken her outside of Florida, to top destinations ranging from New York City, to international hot spots such as the Dominican Republic’s world-renowned Casa De Campo.
“When it comes to design, I love the idea of playing by the rules and simultaneously breaking them. This sets the tone for me to create something new, relevant, and fresh. There’s so much cultural diversity, influence, and mixtures of lifestyles today that I feel design should showcase that vibrancy, and sense of surprise. Although this will vary and shift with each client, I feel my work will always integrate an essence of Miami’s vibrant edge, hints of traditional ”Old Florida” roots, and many cultural cues inspired from my own Cuban-Caribbean heritage. As a local designer, I also feel a deep desire to divert people from a many times generalized Miami stereotype, and showcase another side of South Florida design that the industry and its followers can enjoy and find inspiration from” – Maggie Cruz
